The Mobile Homeboys conjures a hearty and eclectic stew. The root stock is traditional music: primarily American, but with a dash of both Irish and Spanish flavors. This base includes bluegrass, folk, sea shanties and gypsy jazz. On top of this traditional base, is a serious dollop of country western music. Heartland artists such as Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Jerry Reed are covered. Also, added to the blend is more current repertoire from such artists as Little Feat, Garth Brooks, The Allman Brothers and Steve Miller. As the band continues to gain in popularity, it has been adding original material to their set list. Among the new tunes are the crowd favorites "Taco Truck Girl" and "Dig My Bone". |
